5 Então Boaz lhe disse: ´É claro que, ao comprar a propriedade de Noemi, você também deve se casar com Rute, a viúva moabita. Desse modo, ela poderá ter filhos que levem o nome de seu marido e mantenham a herança na família dele`.

5 Then Boaz said, "On the day you buy the land from Naomi, you also acquire Ruth the Moabite, the Vulgate and Syriac; Hebrew (see also Septuagint) [Naomi and from Ruth the Moabite, you acquire the] dead man's widow, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property."
