8 Quando o rei voltou do jardim do palácio para a casa do banquete do vinho, Hamã tinha caído sobre o divã em que se achava Ester. Então o rei disse: - Será que ele queria desonrar a rainha diante de mim, aqui no meu palácio? Quando o rei acabou de dizer estas palavras, cobriram o rosto de Hamã.

8 Just as the king returned from the palace garden to the banquet hall, Haman was falling on the couch where Esther was reclining. The king exclaimed, "Will he even molest the queen while she is with me in the house?" As soon as the word left the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.
