I Samuel 27:1

1 Davi disse consigo mesmo: - Pode ser que algum dia eu venha a perecer nas mãos de Saul. Portanto, não há nada melhor para mim do que fugir para a terra dos filisteus. Isto para que Saul perca de todo as esperanças e deixe de me procurar em toda a terra de Israel; assim, me livrarei das mãos dele.

1 But David thought to himself, "One of these days I will be destroyed by the hand of Saul. The best thing I can do is to escape to the land of the Philistines. Then Saul will give up searching for me anywhere in Israel, and I will slip out of his hand."
