8 Saul se indignou muito, pois estas palavras lhe desagradaram em extremo. Ele disse: - Para Davi elas deram dez milhares, mas para mim apenas milhares. Na verdade, o que lhe falta, a não ser o reino?

8 Saul was very angry; this refrain displeased him greatly. "They have credited David with tens of thousands," he thought, "but me with only thousands. What more can he get but the kingdom?"
