I Samuel 1:20

20 Ana ficou grávida e, passado o devido tempo, teve um filho, a quem deu o nome de Samuel, pois dizia: - Do Senhor o pedi.

20 So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, [Samuel] sounds like the Hebrew for [heard by God.] saying, "Because I asked the Lord for him."
