I Samuel 18:17

17 Saul disse a Davi: - Aqui está Merabe, a minha filha mais velha. Eu a darei a você em casamento, com a condição de que você seja um filho valente e trave as batalhas do Senhor. Porque Saul pensava assim: ´Não seja contra ele a minha mão, e sim a dos filisteus.`

17 And Saul said to David, Behold, my elder daughter Merab, her will I give thee to wife: only be thou valiant for me, and fight Jehovah's battles. For Saul said, Let not my hand be upon him, but let the hand of the Philistines be upon him.
