39 "But our ancestors refused to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt.

39 ´Mas nossos antepassados se recu­saram a obedecer a Moisés. Eles o rejeitaram e, em seu íntimo, voltaram ao Egito.
