21 He erected the pillars at the portico of the temple. The pillar to the south he named Jakin [Jakin] probably means [he establishes.] and the one to the north Boaz. [Boaz] probably means [in him is strength.]

21 Hirão colocou as colunas na entrada do templo, uma à direita e outra à esquerda. À que estava à direita deu o nome de Jaquim; e à outra, à esquerda, deu o nome de Boaz.
