4 But the Philistine commanders were angry with Achish and said, "Send the man back, that he may return to the place you assigned him. He must not go with us into battle, or he will turn against us during the fighting. How better could he regain his master's favor than by taking the heads of our own men?

4 Mas os comandantes filisteus ficaram muito zangados com Aquis e disseram: - Mande esse homem de volta para a cidade que você lhe deu. Não deixe que ele entre na batalha conosco; ele é capaz de virar contra nós durante a luta. Pois a melhor maneira de ele conseguir a boa vontade do seu patrão seria matar os nossos homens.
