Esdras 9:1

1 After these things had been done, the leaders came to me and said, "The people of Israel, including the priests and the Levites, have not kept themselves separate from the neighboring peoples with their detestable practices, like those of the Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Jebusites, Ammonites, Moabites, Egyptians and Amorites.

1 Passados todos esses acontecimentos, os príncipes e capitães do povo vieram falar comigo, dizendo: ´O povo de Israel, inclusive sacerdotes e os levitas, não estão conseguindo se manter separados dos povos vizinhos e de suas práticas pagãs e abomináveis, como as dos cananeus, hititas, ferezeus, jebuseus, amonitas, moabitas, egípcios e amorreus.
