9 David then took up residence in the fortress and called it the City of David. He built up the area around it, from the terraces Or [the Millo] inward.

9 Assim Davi se estabeleceu na fortaleza e lhe denominou Cidade de Davi. Com o passar do tempo Davi foi construindo moradias e defesas em redor, desde o Milo, o aterro, que ficava do lado leste da cidade até o palácio.
