16 (Pharaoh king of Egypt had attacked and captured Gezer. He had set it on fire. He killed its Canaanite inhabitants and then gave it as a wedding gift to his daughter, Solomon's wife.

16 O Faraó, rei do Egito, tinha atacado e conquistado Gezer. Incendiou toda a cidade e matou os seus moradores, que eram cananeus, e a deu como presente de casamento à sua filha, esposa de Salomão.
