16 After the Arameans saw that they had been routed by Israel, they sent messengers and had Arameans brought from beyond the Euphrates River, with Shophak the commander of Hadadezer's army leading them.

16 Ao compreenderem os arameus que haviam sido derrotados por Israel, enviaram mensageiros com a missão de trazer arameus que viviam do outro lado Eufrates, o Rio, e Sofaque, o comandante do exército de Hadadezer, veio à frente deles.
