Êxodo 15:23

23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah. [Marah] means [bitter.])

23 And when they came to Marah, the water was no good for drinking, for the waters of Marah were bitter, which is why it was named Marah.
