Juízes 11:17

17 Then Israel sent messengers to the king of Edom, saying, 'Give us permission to go through your country,' but the king of Edom would not listen. They sent also to the king of Moab, and he refused. So Israel stayed at Kadesh.

17 E Israel enviou mensageiros ao rei dos edomitas, dizendo: Rogo-te que me deixes passar pela tua terra. Porém o rei dos edomitas não lhe deu ouvidos. Enviou também ao rei dos moabitas, o qual também não quis: e assim Israel ficou em Cades.
