Levítico 17:11

11 For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life. Or [atonement by the life in the blood]

11 Porque a alma da carne está no sangue; pelo que volo tenho dado sobre o altar, para fazer propiciação por vossas almas: porquanto he o sangue, que fará propiciação pela alma.
