Êxodo 13:17

17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

17 Ora, quando o Faraó deixou o povo partir, Deus não o guiou pela rota da terra dos filisteus, embora esse fosse o caminho mais curto, porquanto entendeu o SENHOR: ´Para que, porventura, o povo não se arrependa do passo dado, ao deparar-se com a guerra, e volte para o Egito`.
