I Reis 2:15

15 Disse pois ele: Bem sabes que o reino era meu, e todo o Israel tinha posto a vista em mim para que eu viesse a reinar, ainda que o reino se transferiu e veio a ser de meu irmão, porque foi feito seu pelo Senhor.

15 "As you know," he said, "the kingdom was mine. All Israel looked to me as their king. But things changed, and the kingdom has gone to my brother; for it has come to him from the Lord.
