51 Havia, porém, no meio da cidade, uma torre forte; e todos os homens e mulheres, todos os moradores da cidade, se acolheram a ela, e fecharam após si as portas da torre, e subiram ao seu eirado.

51 Inside the city, however, was a strong tower, to which all the men and women - all the people of the city - had fled. They had locked themselves in and climbed up on the tower roof.
