Gênesis 11:9

9 Chamou-se-lhe, por isso, o nome de Babel, porque ali confundiu o Senhor a linguagem de toda a terra e dali o Senhor os dispersou por toda a superfície dela.

9 That is why it was called Babel That is, Babylon; [Babel] sounds like the Hebrew for [confused]. - because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth.
