Deuteronômio 9:6

6 Sabe, pois, que não é por causa da tua justiça que o Senhor, teu Deus, te dá esta boa terra para possuí-la, pois tu és povo de dura cerviz.

6 Know therefore, that Jehovah thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
