Deuteronômio 7:22

22 O Senhor, teu Deus, lançará fora estas nações, pouco a pouco, de diante de ti; não poderás destruí-las todas de pronto, para que as feras do campo se não multipliquem contra ti.

22 And Jehovah thy God will cast out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.
